Build, Generate, and Validate a Class Weekly Timetable
Select a class to view its weekly board, configure schedule settings, manually add lessons, or generate missing periods while checking class, teacher, room, and workload conflicts.
For School administrators, Teachers. Updated 2026-08-07.
Overview
The timetable is a weekly board for one class at a time, with configurable school days and periods. Manual lessons require a valid start and end time and may optionally include course, teacher, and room.
Saving a lesson checks for conflicts in the current academic term: the same class cannot have overlapping lessons, the same teacher cannot be double-booked, and the same room cannot be double-booked. Schedule settings define active school days, period labels/times, break periods, and the maximum periods per day per teacher.
Generate timetable keeps existing lessons, schedules only missing periods based on class-course periods/week requirements, respects teacher workload limits and conflict rules, and returns a summary of placed, already scheduled, unplaced, teacher workload, and subject distribution. Generated lessons do not automatically assign rooms.

Common problems
Generate timetable schedules nothing new
The selected classes may already have their required periods scheduled. The generator keeps existing lessons and only adds missing periods.
Some lessons are unplaced
Review the unplaced reasons. Common causes are teacher workload limits, unavailable non-break periods, or conflicts with existing class, teacher, or room lessons.
A lesson save is rejected as a conflict
The timetable now checks overlapping class, teacher, and room bookings for the active academic term. Change the time, teacher, room, or class before saving.
Rooms are missing after generation
Rooms are not assigned automatically by the generator. Add or edit rooms on lessons afterward if room tracking is needed.
Schedule settings will not save
At least one school day and one non-break period are required, and every period needs valid HH:MM start and end times.
