Schedule follow-ups and work the Follow-ups due list

Schedule follow-ups with a due date and assignee; the Follow-ups due view lists today's and late tasks and notifies the assignee once a day.

For School administrators, Teachers, Staff, HR managers. Updated 2026-10-09.

Overview

In the case file open the Follow-ups tab and select Schedule a follow-up (the “edit welfare” permission, case not Closed). Enter What needs to happen (3-500 characters), Due on (date, required) and Who follows up (defaults to the case counsellor, or you). The assignee must be a staff member.

Ticking the circle marks a follow-up done and can be undone; remove with the bin icon only while it is not done (a completed follow-up stays on the record). The Follow-ups due view on the Welfare desk shows tasks due today or earlier for open cases, with a Mine or Everyone toggle (Mine covers tasks assigned to you or unassigned tasks on your cases).

Overdue items are red and show the original due date. When the list loads, the assigned counsellor receives one "Follow-up due today" notification per task per day. The tab badge and the tile Overdue follow-ups count late tasks. Follow-ups of closed cases do not appear in the due list.

Completed follow-ups stay on the record. Only pending ones can be removed.

The due list is empty but I expect tasks

Switch from Mine to Everyone, and note that tasks for Closed cases are hidden.
