Browse Attendance History and Finish Draft Sheets

History groups attendance by class and date with a status badge; drafts can be edited or finalized from there, and the toggle switches between class logs and staff logs.

For School administrators, Teachers, Directors and proprietors. Updated 2026-10-09.

Overview

The History tab lists sheets grouped by class and date, with filters for class, a from-date and a to-date and a type switch: Class logs or Staff logs (Staff logs are hidden from teachers and return nothing for them). Each row shows a Finalized badge or a draft, with Finalize for drafts.

Opening a row shows a detail drawer: 'Finalized attendance sheet' with 'Finalized by' the user and time, or 'Draft attendance sheet' with Finalize now and an option to continue editing in the Log Attendance drawer pre-filled with that class and date.

Counts for Present, Absent, Late and Excused are summarised, and the student detail lists each student's status. Staff history groups by date and is capped to the most recent 5000 staff records. Use History to spot days where a class register was saved but never finalized.

Common problems

Staff logs shows nothing for a teacher

Staff logs are not available to teachers; ask an admin.

A class is missing from History

Teachers only see their own classes. Also check the date range, since History only shows days that have saved records.

Dates look off by a day

Registers are stored by calendar day. Compare the date in the detail drawer with the date chosen when saving.
