Join a Meeting You Were Invited To (Staff)
Invited staff find the meeting on the Meetings page or dashboard, select Join now, preview their camera and microphone, then join once the host has started.

Overview
Staff invited to a meeting see it under Meetings (Upcoming tab) and receive an in-app notification. Select Join now (shown once the host has started) to open the lobby. The lobby previews your camera and microphone, which start off; toggle them if you wish and choose Join meeting.
If the host has not started yet you see "Waiting for the host to start" and are admitted automatically when the meeting goes live. The page requires the “join meeting” permission, held by Admins, HR managers, directors, teachers, employees, accountants, health staff, bookstore and transport managers.
Students and parents do not have it and cannot join staff meetings. If the browser blocks hardware you will see "We could not use your camera or microphone.
Allow access in your browser, then try again." A cancelled meeting says "This meeting was cancelled." and an ended one says "This meeting has ended." You must be the host, an Admin or HR manager, or on the invitee list (or hold the “view meeting” permission) to enter; otherwise "You are not part of this meeting."
Before you start
- The “join meeting” permission permission
- You were invited, or are the host, an Admin or an HR Manager
- A browser allowed to use camera and microphone
Steps
- Open Meetings (or click the notification or invitation link)
- Select Join now on the meeting
- In the lobby, allow camera and microphone access and toggle them as you wish
- Select Join meeting
- If the host has not started, keep the page open; you join automatically
Common problems
The button says Waiting for host
The host has not started the meeting. Keep the lobby open or refresh the page later.
Error "You are not part of this meeting"
You are not on the invitee list. Ask the host or an Admin to edit the meeting and add you.
"Video meetings are not set up yet"
The video service is not configured for the platform. Contact MySchoolGH support.
Camera or microphone not working
Allow camera and microphone permission in the browser address bar settings, check no other app is using them, and try again.
