Review Gradebook Coverage and the Grid

Admins and teachers can review coverage and detailed grids; students only see their own active class, subjects, assessments, and results.

For School administrators, Teachers, Students. Updated 2026-08-10.

Overview

The gradebook first shows a coverage table across classes and courses for the chosen academic year and term, listing student counts, assessment counts, results recorded, and the class average.

Selecting a specific class, course, year, and term unlocks the detailed grid showing every student's score per assessment, their attempt count, which attempt was selected, and their final score and grade.

Student users are restricted to their own active enrollment and their own published or closed assessment/result data, even if a broad academic read permission would otherwise exist.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open Assessments > Gradebook
  2. Choose the academic year and term
  3. Review the coverage table, or narrow by class and course
  4. Select a class and course to open the detailed grid

Common problems

The detailed grid says no assessments were found

Confirm assessments exist for that exact class, course, and period combination, and that the signed-in user is allowed to view that class.

A student sees only one class or fewer subjects than an administrator sees

That is expected. Student gradebook access is hard-scoped to the student's active class and published or closed assessment/result records for that student.
