Filter and Export Accounting Transaction History

Transaction History supports type, source, search, date-range filters, pagination, detail view, and PDF export.

For School administrators, Accountants. Updated 2026-09-13.

Overview

Transaction History combines income, expense, fee collection, and transport/bus-related ledger rows. Users can filter by All, Income, Expense, source, date range, and debounced text search. The source filter uses the product custom select control.

Search matches references, account names, account heads, descriptions, payment methods, attached students, attached buses, and fee collection student names even when the row originated from fees. The summary cards and export respect the active filters.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open Accounting > Transaction History.
  2. Use the All, Income, or Expense chips to narrow the transaction direction.
  3. Choose a source from the custom source dropdown when you only need fees, general transactions, transport, or another ledger source.
  4. Type in Search history to search references, descriptions, account names, payment methods, attached students, buses, or fee collection students. The search runs after a short debounce.
  5. Use From and To dates to limit the period, then export the filtered view when needed.

Common problems

A student name does not appear immediately

Pause briefly for the debounced search to run before assuming there are no matches.

A fee row has the school account as the account name

Fee rows may show the school account while still matching the fee collection student in search.

A transaction is missing under a source filter

Switch back to All sources to confirm whether the row belongs to another ledger source.
