Read the Payments Dashboard
Use the Payments dashboard to compare total billed, collected, outstanding balances, categories, allocations, and paid-rate health.
For School administrators, Accountants. Updated 2026-08-01.
Overview
The Payments dashboard gives a quick finance summary for the school. It shows total due, total paid, total balance, collection count, total collected, fee categories, fee allocations, and the fully-paid rate. Use it as the first stop before moving into Categories, Allocations, Bills, Debtors, History, or Reports.
The dashboard numbers are operational totals from the current school data; if a total looks wrong, check that bills were allocated to the intended academic term and that reversed collections are understood before editing records.
Before you start
- Generate bills through fee allocation before expecting student balances
- Use an account with fee read access
Steps
- Open Payments
- Review total due, total paid, total balance, and collection metrics
- Use the tab buttons to drill into Categories, Allocations, Bills, Debtors, History, or Reports
- If the balance is unexpected, compare Bills and Payment History for the affected student or class
Common problems
The dashboard shows no balance even though categories exist
Fee categories do not bill students by themselves. Allocate the category to a class or selected students first.
Collections look higher or lower than expected
Open Payment History and check for reversed collections; reversals remain visible for auditability.
