Accept Online Fee Payments via Paystack
Once the school's Paystack subaccount is verified, students and linked parents can pay their own outstanding bills online.
For School administrators, Accountants, Parents, Students. Updated 2026-08-01.
Overview
Online fee payment requires the school's Paystack subaccount to be set up and verified first (see Settings).
Once verified, a student, or a parent linked to that student as a guardian, can pay outstanding bills without needing fee collection permission themselves, provided the amount does not exceed the outstanding selected balance and the relevant term is not closed.
Before you start
- Configure and verify the school's Paystack subaccount in Settings
- The student must have an outstanding balance in a non-closed term
Steps
- The student or a linked parent opens their outstanding bills
- Select the bills to pay and the amount
- Complete payment through Paystack
- The payment applies automatically once Paystack confirms success
Common problems
Online payment cannot be started
The school's Paystack subaccount is not configured or not yet verified; contact the school administrator.
Payment is rejected for a closed term
Bills in a closed academic term cannot be paid online; contact the school to resolve outstanding closed-term balances another way.
