Read Survey Results, Comments and Export CSV
Open Results from a survey row to see response rate, overall rating, charts per question, paged written comments and an Export CSV button.
For School administrators, HR managers, Directors and proprietors. Updated 2026-10-09.
Overview
On Surveys and feedback, any survey with at least one answer shows a Results button,. The top cards show Responses (of the number of people asked), Response rate (turns amber when under 30%), Overall rating (average of all Rating questions out of 5) and Status.
Rating questions show an average and a 1 to 5 bar chart; Yes or no and Single choice questions show bar charts; Written answer questions show paged comments (10 per page) with no names or timestamps, in a random-looking order so nobody can be identified. If there are no responses yet the page says "No one has answered yet".
Export CSV downloads a file with one column per question; anonymous surveys list rows as #1, #2 and so on, while Named surveys include the respondent name and submitted time. Yes or no answers export as Yes or No. The export is recorded in the audit log.
The overview cards on the main page show Open now, Drafts, total Responses and the average Open response rate. Results, export and the surveys list need the “view survey” permission, which Admins, HR managers and Directors have.

Common problems
There is no Results button on a survey
Results appear only once at least one person has answered. Check the survey is open and shared with the right audience.
I need to know who wrote a comment
Not possible for anonymous surveys; names are never stored. For Named surveys, use Export CSV, which includes respondent names.
Response rate is low or shows a dash
A dash means nobody was eligible (for example no active students in the chosen class). A low rate means few of the people asked have answered; remind them to use My Surveys before the closing date.
