Create or edit a job posting

On Recruitment > Job postings click New posting, fill in the job title, status, hires wanted, dates and salary range, then save. New postings default to Draft.

For School administrators, HR managers. Updated 2026-10-09.

Overview

A job posting describes a vacancy. Go to Recruitment > Job postings and click New posting (needs the “add recruitment” permission). The form asks for: Job title (2 to 120 characters, e.g. "Mathematics Teacher"), Department (optional, "Any department"), Location (e.g.

"Main campus"), Employment type (Full time, Part time, Contract, Temporary, Internship), Status (Draft, Open, On hold, Closed), Hires wanted (1 to 500), Opens on, Closes on, Salary from and Salary up to (GHS), About the role, Requirements, and Internal notes (only the hiring team sees these).

Validation: the lowest salary cannot be more than the highest, and the closing date cannot be before the opening date. After saving you land on the posting's pipeline board. Statuses: Draft (being prepared), Open (hiring), On hold, Closed. Only Open postings can take online applications.

Editing a posting and moving it to anything other than Open automatically switches off public applications (the Public badge disappears). Use Edit on the posting page (needs the “edit recruitment” permission) to change details later.

The Job postings list has status filter chips (All, Open, Draft, On hold, Closed, each with a count), a search box ("Search positions..."), and columns for Position, Status (with a Public badge when published), Applicants, a mini pipeline, Hired (hired / hires wanted) and Closes. Click a row to open the posting.

Common problems

The form says "The lowest salary cannot be more than the highest."

Swap or correct Salary from and Salary up to so the minimum is not greater than the maximum.

The form says "The closing date cannot be before the opening date."

Set Closes on to the same day as, or later than, Opens on.

I edited my posting and it stopped taking online applications.

Saving a posting with any status other than Open switches public applications off. Set the status back to Open and turn on "Accept applications online" under Configure & share.
