Configure the Weekly Debtor Digest
Turn on the weekly digest and choose which channels deliver it.
For School administrators. Updated 2026-08-02.
Overview
The weekly digest has grown from a simple debtor summary into a full weekly finance and admissions briefing, sent through the enabled channels: in-app, email, or SMS. The emailed version includes the full breakdown below; in-app and SMS get a shorter summary of the same figures.
Each week's numbers are also saved as a snapshot for the school, so the figures can be reviewed and trended over a term or year later instead of being lost after sending.
The digest now covers six areas: (1) Total weekly receivables — outstanding fees and transport balances, and how many students still owe; (2) Performance vs last week — fees collected, transport collected, and arrears collected this week compared with last week, each with a trend arrow and percentage change, so a slowdown in collections is easy to spot; (3) Admissions — new applications this week compared with last week; (4) Major payments this week — the largest individual payments recorded, with payer, fee category, method, amount, and their share of total receivables; (5) Other income and expenses recorded during the week outside of fee collection; (6) Major channels of income — how the week's income breaks down by payment method or channel and each channel's share of the total.
Together these help admins and accountants catch collection dips early, celebrate admissions growth, spot unusual income channels, and keep a week-by-week record for later financial review, without opening Accounting or Payment Reports every time.
Steps
- Open Settings > Notifications
- Toggle Send weekly digest on
- Choose the channels: in-app, email, or SMS
Common problems
The digest is not arriving
Confirm the master toggle is on and at least one channel is selected; SMS channel delivery also depends on SMS balance.
The digest only shows a short debtor summary, not the new sections
The short message is what appears in in-app notifications and SMS by design, to stay within a few lines. Open the emailed digest for the full breakdown of receivables, week-over-week performance, admissions, major payments, and income channels.
