A Feature or Menu Is Missing: Hidden, Not in Plan, or No Permission
A missing sidebar link is caused by a hidden module, a module not included in the plan, a role or permission gap, or the school type. Hidden modules the admin can switch back on; modules not in the plan must be enabled by MySchoolGH support.

Overview
If a module is missing from the sidebar, check these causes in order. 1) Hidden by the school: open Settings > Feature Modules. If the card says Hidden, click it to switch the module on (or use Enable all).
2) Not included in the plan: if the card says Upgrade required, or the module is not listed at all, the school plan does not include it and the school admin cannot switch it on. Enabling a feature for a school never changes anyone's permissions. 3) No permission: even with the feature on, a person only sees links their role and permission allow.
A school administrator can check Settings > User Overrides to grant the missing permission to one person. 4) School type: some links only appear for schools that teach a given level (for example Broadsheet and Mock Exams are for basic and secondary schools; Course Registration and GPA are for tertiary).
5) Campus: in a multi-campus group each campus has its own feature list and permissions, so a feature enabled at one campus may be hidden at another. 6) Subscription: if the subscription has expired the app can go read-only; renew from Settings > Billing & Subscription (a campus uses its main school's subscription).
Features that have their own switch today include Certificates, Alumni, Appraisals & Training, Recruitment, PTA & Fundraising, Surveys, Fixed Assets, Leave Manager, HR & Payroll and every module on the Feature Modules page.
Steps
- Open Settings > Feature Modules and look for the module
- If it is Hidden, switch it On
- If it says Upgrade required or is not listed, contact MySchoolGH support and name the feature
- If the feature is On but the link is still missing, ask an administrator to check your role and User Overrides
- In a campus group, confirm you are in the campus you expect
Common problems
The school admin cannot switch on a feature
Only features in the school plan can be switched on by the school. Ask support to enable it for the school.
The feature is on but a teacher still cannot see it
Role and permission control the link. The school administrator can grant the specific permission under Settings > User Overrides.
Everything disappeared after pressing Disable all
Open Settings > Feature Modules and press Enable all to restore every module the plan includes.
