Review Role Permissions
Browse the default permission set for every role side by side, for reference only.

Overview
The Roles section lists every role (Administrator, Accountant, Teacher, Student, Parent or Guardian, Employee, Platform Support) and the permissions granted to it by default, grouped by module. This view is read-only; it does not change any user's access. To change what one specific person can do, use custom permission overrides instead.
Unlike most other Settings tabs, Roles has no the “edit school settings” permission fallback — it is gated specifically by the “view user permission” permission.
Steps
- Open Settings > Roles
- Select a role from the list
- Review the grouped permission chips for that role
Common problems
A user still can't access a feature that their role allows
Check whether that specific user has a custom permission override that is denying access; overrides take priority over the role default.
