Use the Setup Page

Setup is the control area for school identity, academic calendar, structure, courses, rooms, SBA configuration, and grading bands.

For School administrators. Updated 2026-08-01.

Overview

The Setup page is split into six tabs. School Profile manages the school name, logo, slogan, contact details, address, and report-card colors. Academic Periods manages academic years, academic terms, current and next period labels, term closure, and reopening the latest closed term.

Structure manages departments and sections, including assigning students and teachers to a department or section. Courses manages the subjects taught by the school. Rooms manages classrooms, labs, halls, and offices used by timetable and housing workflows.

Academics manages SBA components, SBA/exam weighting, and grade bands for the current academic year and term.

Common problems

A Setup tab is visible but saving fails

The account may have read access but not create or update access for that setup area; ask an administrator to review permissions.

A later module is empty or blocked

Most modules depend on Setup records. Create the academic year and term first, then classes, departments, courses, and any needed SBA or grade-band settings.
