Teacher and Course Evaluations
Create a survey of kind Lecturer or teacher evaluation or Course evaluation; the Teacher evaluations and Course evaluations tabs then compare average ratings.

Overview
Choose the Kind Lecturer or teacher evaluation and you must pick the Teacher or lecturer being evaluated (and may add a course); choose Course evaluation and you must pick the Course. You can restrict either to a single class using "Only this class (optional)".
The tabs Teacher evaluations and Course evaluations on Surveys and feedback list each teacher or course with the number of surveys, number of responses and Average rating (a bar out of 5), sorted from highest to lowest.
The average uses only Rating questions, so include at least one Rating question for the comparison to show; otherwise the row shows "No ratings yet". Empty tabs say "No teacher evaluations yet. Create a survey of the kind Lecturer or teacher evaluation." Teachers are chosen only from active staff of the school and courses from the school course list.
Before you start
- The “add survey” permission permission
- Teachers and courses set up in the school
Steps
- Select New survey
- Choose Kind: Lecturer or teacher evaluation, or Course evaluation
- Pick the Teacher or lecturer, or the Course (required)
- Optionally choose Only this class and set Who answers (usually Students)
- Add at least one Rating question and open the survey
- After answers arrive, open the Teacher evaluations or Course evaluations tab to compare
Common problems
Error "Choose the lecturer or teacher being evaluated" or "Choose the course being evaluated"
These kinds need a linked teacher or course. Select one in the editor before saving.
The teacher shows "No ratings yet"
Either no one has answered, or the survey has no Rating questions. The average is calculated from Rating questions only.
A teacher is missing from the picker
Only active staff accounts in this school are listed. Check the teacher account exists and is active.
