Use the Transport Fees Tabs
Transport Fees is split into assigned students, outstanding balances, and payment history for route-based billing.
For School administrators, Accountants. Updated 2026-08-01.
Overview
Transport Fees has three tabs. Bills shows transport assignments and whether each assigned student has been billed for the current period. Outstanding balances shows transport bills with amount due, amount paid, balance, status, and available collection or discount actions. Payment History lists transport fee receipts and migrated transport payment records.
Transport billing is separate from regular fee billing because route fare, bus, route, and fare type are transport-specific.
Before you start
- Enable Transport
- Create buses and routes
- Assign students to buses or routes
Steps
- Open Transport > Fees
- Use Bills to select assignments and generate bills
- Use Outstanding balances to collect payments, apply discounts, or delete untouched bills
- Use Payment history to search receipts and export transport collections
Common problems
The Bills tab shows assigned students but no outstanding balance
Generate transport bills first; an assignment alone does not create a bill.
A regular payment screen rejects a transport bill
Collect transport bills from Transport > Fees because regular fee collection deliberately blocks transport bills.
